Preschool Overview
The Episcopal Day School Preschool serves children of all faiths from
three years old to Kindergarten and earned its accreditation by the National
Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) in 1994. NAEYC
administers the largest and most widely recognized national, voluntary,
professionally sponsored accreditation system for all types of early childhood
programs. NAEYC accreditation mandates high standards in teacher/child
interaction, teacher/student ratios, curriculum, teacher training, and
health and safety. EDS conducts a year-long, comprehensive, re-accreditation
self study every three years to maintain this distinguished affilitation.
The Episcopal Day School is the only school in the Augusta area to earn
this prestigious accreditation.
