Preschool Overview


The Episcopal Day School Preschool serves children of all faiths from three years old to Kindergarten.

Our high-quality early childhood program provides a safe and nurturing environment. We promote the physical, social, emotional, spiritual, and intellectual development of young children. In our program you will find:

* Frequent, positive, warm interactions among teachers and children
* Planned learning activities appropriate to children's age and development
* Specially trained teachers and directors

* Ongoing professional development
* Appropriate student/teacher ratio to respond to individual children
* Many varied age-appropriate materials
* Respect for cultural diversity

* Nutritional meals and/or snacks
* Regular, two-way communication with parents who are welcome visitors

The Preschool average class size ratio is 8:1. The day begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 12:30 p.m. Before and after school care is available.

After School Care

EDS provides quality, caring supervision for both before and after school with the following programs:

* Early Bird for Threes, PK, and K from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 a.m.

Lunch Bunch for PK and K until 3:00 p.m.
*
Gingerbread for Threes, PK, and K until 6:00 p.m.
