On March 6, middle school students in the Junior Model UN Club participated in Augusta University’s JMUN conference with sponsors Bill Mundell and Laura Stubbs. Twenty-one of our seventh and eighth-grade students competed with over ten different private, magnet, and charter schools from Atlanta, South Carolina, Richmond County, and Columbia County. During the conference, students debated and negotiated global issues including immigration and response to refugees. Congratulations to Matthew L. and Sam C. as the winners of “Best Delegates” in the General Assembly from EDS and to Naday B. as the winner of “Best in Character” for the Security Council.
