Scholarships and Assistance
Recognizing that an independent school education is an investment and a major financial commitment, many potential families grapple with the question of affordability and sustainability. EDS understands this concern and we know that for many families, concerns about affordability are the reason that they never explore further. Please know that EDS is committed to keeping our program as affordable as possible. We have programs in place to offer assistance to as many students and families as the school’s budget will accommodate.
We believe an empty seat at EDS is a lost opportunity. It is a loss for the child that could benefit for a lifetime from an EDS experience and education. It is a loss for every one of their potential classmates, because every child brings something special and unique to their class and their school. It is also a loss for this entire community, because we miss out on the unique gifts, stories, and experiences that every family brings. For all of these reasons, we will make every effort to work with you.
EDS offers need-based financial aid to qualified applicants of any race, gender, and ethnic origin. To determine each family’s need and to ensure objectivity, EDS subscribes to School and Student Services (SSS) through the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) for financial aid need-assessment.
