Panther Nation 9/12
Whoa Nellie! — the Panthers are on the hunt! If you have only seen a panther on TV or at the zoo; then it is time to get out and see the EDS Panthers in the wild!
Last week the Panthers football team pounced on the Lions from Augusta Christian in what became a great game for EDS. Catch the football team in action on Thursday, September 19 at Aquinas HS at 6pm, as they take on the Crusaders of Curtis Baptist.
Can I get a “Grrr” for our cheerleaders? These Panther spirit leaders are working it. If you need that frown turned upside down, come watch these young ladies do their thing at the football game.
The volleyball team played the very strong Saints from St. Mary’s Aiken and the match went down to the wire. Unfortunately, the Saints tamed the Panthers by playing all three games. The opponents only outscored us by 2 points in the final game. They can be seen leaping again on Wednesday, Sept 18 against the Lions of Alleluia.
The tennis team is rocking the Newman Tennis Center. These Panthers are primed and ready to stalk their next prey. Last week the Boys devoured the Cavaliers of Augusta Prep. The girls team, while small, is working just as hard even with the odds stacked against them. Our next match is Tuesday, September 17 at 3:30 p.m. vs. the Wildcats of Westminster at the Newman Tennis Center.
The cross country teams continue to run like the wind. Chasing down the target, running to victory and cumulating the best Panther times of the season. They will be in action at Augusta Prep on Saturday, September 21 at the Cavalier Invitational in the morning.
“Fore!” has never been uttered by a Panther. The Panther golf team leaped into first place after this week’s match, rebounding from 2nd place in week one. You can catch them as they prowl the course on Monday, September 16 at 3pm.
I know your children want to see a Panther in person – and there are so many opportunities to do so. Always check the Panther Post for updated game information. Reminder that all football and volleyball games have a charge to enter the cage. And don’t forget the feeding frenzy at the snack shacks.
We look forward to seeing you and hearing your inner growl!
