EDS ordered 18 cubic yards of nursery mix that includes composted pine bark, organic fertilizer, and lime that is specifically designed for growing vegetables. EDS students will construct 4×4 raised garden beds and fill them in with the mix. The beds will be ready for lettuce, collard greens, kale, and a variety of other plants that we have been starting from seeds in the classroom.
