EDS 2022-2023 | New Spirit, One Heart

Each year EDS chooses a theme from which the school year will be shaped.

Teachers and administration toss around ideas for what a good focus would be that would help us grow as a community and institution. Once those ideas are narrowed down, then we look for scripture to apply to them. After discussion and prayer, a theme is settled upon. We share the touchpoints of the discussion that led us to consensus with our graphic artist who then creates a logo for us.

This year, our theme goes along with our new school leadership and the new way we are living together in community. The logo has a dove as a symbol of the Holy Spirit bringing to us God’s grace and peace. It has fire as a symbol of the energy and power that we find God’s love. It includes people, representing all of us at EDS, formed into a heart as a reminder that we are all in this together and together we are better.
