Join Us for Reid on the Run
Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church will host Reid on the Run on Saturday, February 7,2015 at 9:00 am. The run will benefit Reid’s Children’s Ministry and Camp IVEY (Inspiring Very ExceptionalYouth) at the Family Y’s Camp Lakeside.
Proceeds from the race will help create an overnight camp for children with developmental delays at Camp Lakeside.Join hundreds of runners and walkers in this family friendly event. Register to run or walk online at www.active.com.
All runners and walkers are encouraged to participate in this fun, family friendly event to help raise funds to provide a camp experience which inspires very exceptional youth with special needs and promote the children’s ministry program of Reid Memorial. Immediately following the run, all participants are invited to enjoy a light breakfast with an awards presentation and activities.
This event will be held rain or shine and is open to all ages! Please no bikes, roller blades or scooters. Strollers are welcome.
1 Mile Fun Run 9:00 am – $10.00 registration fee
5K Run/Walk 9:30 am – $25.00 registration fee(before 1/24/15)
$30.00 (after 1/24/15)
Registration and check-in begin at 8:30am on the lawn directly in front of the Alan Fuqua Center. Group rates are available for businesses and organizations. For more information, contact Joy Weigle (706)733-2275 at Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church.
T-shirts are not guaranteed to participants who register after January 24, 2015. Extra t-shirts will be ordered but they will be given out on a first come, first serve basis. T-shirts are not included in the 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk entry fee. Additional t-shirts may be purchased for $15.00.
Awards:
Awards are given for the top male and female under age 18 for the 1 Mile Fun Run. For the 5K run, awards are given for the top male and female under age 18 and the over 18 category.
5K Course:
Starting at the church, cross Walton Way and continue south on Johns Road to Pickens Road; Go east on Milledge Road; south to McDowell Street: west to Highland Avenue; north to Bellevue Avenue; east to Arsenal Avenue; south to McDowell Street; east to Johns Road; north to Reid Memorial
