Special Fundraiser for our Neighbors in Need

Special Fundraiser for our Neighbors in Need

St. Luke’s United Methodist Church suffered a devastating fire, destroying the historic sanctuary between Christmas and New Years. (read a powerful story about it here). Thankfully there was neither loss of life nor injury. St. Luke’s offers countless outreach ministries in the Harrisburg neighborhood and many of our students have been involved with Beyond EDS service there over the years. Faith communities around Augusta and the CSRA, including the Church of the Good Shepherd, have been rallying to show pastoral and financial support, and it is time for our Episcopal Day School to do the same. On FRIDAY, JANUARY 20, 2017 1st-8th graders are invited to dress down (according to the guidelines in the handbook) and 3 year old-kindergarten students are invited to wear their favorite hat. In order to participate in this special dress down/hat day, please bring a DONATION OF AT LEAST $5. More generous gifts are strongly encouraged, as we know that whatever we are able to share will be greatly appreciated by a faithful congregation that faces nearly insurmountable costs in rebuilding. Our gift will, of course, be accompanied by ongoing prayers for healing and hope at St. Luke’s and in the neighborhood in serves. Thank you for your kindness in giving.
