This summer, we continue to work towards providing more opportunities for parents and grandparents to participate in school activities and invite you to participate in our classroom volunteer program.

At EDS, we greatly value the partnership between parents and the school community. Your involvement and support play a vital role in creating an enriched learning environment for our students. By becoming a trained volunteer, you can actively contribute to the success and growth of our school community.

This training allows you to gain valuable insights, knowledge, and skills to effectively engage with our students and staff. Whether you’re a new or experienced volunteer, this program will help you enhance your abilities and provide a solid foundation for meaningful involvement.

If you are interested in a role as a classroom volunteer, room parent, acolyte parent, or field trip chaperone, please click here for requirements and training.

All current parents are members of the EDS Association and are welcome and encouraged to attend quarterly meetings and special events.  Through its fundraisers, the EDS Association funds the school “wish list” which is developed by faculty and department heads.

Save the date for the first EDS Association meeting of the new school year – Friday, September 1 at 8:15 A.M. in the library. We hope to see you there!

All parents who may be registering their child in after school at any point in the year must register online in advance by completing this form.  For questions about Extended Day, please visit our Extended Day & Enrichment webpage or contact EDS Extended Day Director, Jocelyn Johnson.

Students in Kindergarten – 8th grade are required to follow uniform and dress code guidelines.  Preschool students do not wear a uniform, but are encouraged to wear comfortable play clothes and closed-toe shoes each day.

We have simplified our dress code as we seek to be more consistent in our expectations. Click this link for our Uniform and Dress Code Standards.  Click here to review an email sent on June 23 from Dr. Perkinson regarding our change in plaid and revised dress code for 2023-2024.

For our required EDS plaid on Chapel days and for other daily uniform wear with embroidered EDS logos, orders are to be placed through Lands’ EndNote that having the EDS logo on daily uniform wear is a personal choice and not a requirement.  For regular uniform wear (without EDS logo) items may be purchased at retailer of choice, while following dress code standards.
