Family and friends of our EDS students are invited to celebrate their birthdays by gifting a book to the EDS Library Fund through Birthday Book Club. The library has a curated selection of award-winning books from which to choose for $25. A bookplate with your child’s name will be mounted in their honor to forever commemorate your contribution and your student’s special day. Gifts to the EDS Library Fund help the school continually update and develop its permanent collection of literature, reference books, materials, and technology.

At EDS, we greatly value the partnership between parents and the school community. Your involvement and support play a vital role in creating an enriched learning environment for our students. By becoming a trained volunteer, you can actively contribute to the success and growth of our school community.

This training allows you to gain valuable insights, knowledge, and skills to effectively engage with our students and staff. Whether you’re a new or experienced volunteer, this program will help you enhance your abilities and provide a solid foundation for meaningful involvement.

If you are interested in a role as a classroom volunteer, room parent, acolyte parent, or field trip chaperone, please click here for requirements and training. Questions? Please email Nina Tomlin.

Ask not what your school can do for you, but what you can do for your school! The EDS Association is recruiting volunteers for the 2026-2027 school year, and no experience is needed. So many of the special events and traditions at EDS are possible because of our parent volunteers, and we would love for you to be involved. Please use the link below to let us know which opportunities interest you. Questions? Contact Caroline Wells at acwwells@gmail.com.

Each year, EDS creates a yearbook to capture class photos, athletics, and the wonderful events of the school year. In order to include our end of the year awards and graduation in the yearbook, we submit our book for publishing over the summer and do not receive them back at school until fall of the next school year.

Parents may preorder their book online throughout the school year by going to this website. Early preordered books come at a great discount! Once books are delivered to the school in the fall, we sell extra copies in the front office on a first-come, first-served basis. For questions regarding yearbooks, please email Becky Shults at bshults@edsaugusta.com.
