EDS Fall Festival

The EDS Association is excited to announce that our annual Fall Festival will be held Saturday, October 28 from 10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. on our Walton Way Campus. There will be games, inflatables, concessions, prizes, contests, balloon animals, face painting, and much more! For our new families, Fall Festival is our largest family event of the year and a wonderful way to meet some of the faces your child sees on a regular basis.

The Cozi Cup coffee truck will be joining us this year with lots of yummy treats and coffee from 9:00 A.M. to Noon!

Fall Festival features an exciting mix of fun events for the whole family including our old favorites and some new additions:

  • Donut Eating Contest
  • Dunk Tank
  • Haunted Walk
  • Pumpkin Bowling
  • Duck Pond
  • Giant Obstacle Course Inflatable
  • Train Ride
  • Petting Zoo
  • and Much More!

We hope your family can join us for music, fun, and food with friends at the EDS Fall Festival!

Arm Bands

Arm Bands are your ticket to the festivities!

Children ages 3 and up will need an armband for entry into fall festival. Armband preorders have now ended, but they will be available for $25 at the entrance of Fall Festival. Adult entry is complimentary.

Purchased armbands will be given to students the Friday before Fall Festival. All children ages 3 and up participating in Fall Festival activities, including Middle School volunteers, MUST have an armband which gives them unlimited access to rides/games along with the Haunted Walk, Photo Booth, and Train Ride.

All Non-EDS student armbands can be picked up at the entrance the day of the event.

Fall Festival Timeline

10:00 A.M. – Doors Open – The Fall Festival Entrance is at the side gate (look for the Cozi Cup coffee truck!) and leads straight into the courtyard petting zoo. Make your way to the playground for even more fun festivities including the haunted walk and photo booth that will be happening until 2 P.M.!

11:00 A.M. – Tara Scheyer and the Mud Puppy Band – Join us for an interactive concert for children of all ages on the Trustee Commons

12:00 P.M. – Faculty Food Fun – Be sure to stop by the ballot table to vote for the faculty member you think will be our 2023 Food Fun Champion and receive the coveted trophy.  Contestants will see who can eat a hamburger and blow a bubble gum bubble the fastest!

12:30 – 1:30 P.M. – Dunk Tank – Don’t miss out on this fun attraction! The dunk tank will have some special guests ready to take a swim! If you would like to try your hand and see a faculty member take the plunge, it will be $5 (cash only) for 5 balls… Start practicing your aim!

There are so many more exciting events this year! Don’t forget to bring cash for the bake sale and our sweet shoppe. All purchases benefit the EDS Parents Association!

Concessions

Concessions will be available at the lunchroom patio by the playground. Make sure to stop by and grab a yummy bite to eat!

Volunteers and Supplies Needed!

The EDS Association needs your help to make Fall Festival fun for all! Parents should be receiving sign ups for classroom booths, but we also need help with the following:

Volunteers – Come have fun with us and lend a hand! We have volunteer opportunities for both middle school students and parents to help at the Fall Festival and especially need help with set up and clean up. We also have multiple options for middle school students to work toward their Inside EDS Service Hour requirement. We can’t do it without you!

There will be childcare available if needed during Fall Festival setup on Friday, October 27 from 3-5 P.M. Please sign up here if you will need childcare during that time. Any children who are on campus during Friday’s volunteer hours must be helping an adult at all times, otherwise they should attend childcare.

Candy Donations – We need candy donations for candy necklaces to be sold in the sweet shop! The preferred candies are: jolly ranchers, tootsie rolls, bubblegum, nerds, skittles, sweet tarts, smarties, Laffy taffy, and lollipops. Please, no chocolate because it melts. Candy donations can be dropped off at the front office.

Bake Sale Donations – It’s that time of year… The Fall Festival Bake Sale! Please sign up for an item that you are able to contribute to our well loved sweet shoppe. In order to offer/sell fresh goods, please drop off your item(s) in the EDS office on Thursday 10/26 or Friday 10/27, preferably by noon. Thank you in advance for your generosity!

Chips/Drink Donations – Canned soft drinks and individual bags of chips also need to be dropped off at the front office by Friday, 10/27.

We appreciate your help in making Fall Festival a success!

Black & White Photography

EDS families – make sure to stop by the black and white photography table at Fall Festival! EDS mom and photographer, Natalie Thompson, has been busy capturing the sweet smiles of our EDS students. We will have 5×7 prints available to purchase at Fall Festival for $15, or a print with digital copy for $20.

We will also have the option available to purchase a beautiful acrylic framed print for $35. These would make wonderful family Christmas gifts and all proceeds go to the EDS Association!

Fall Festival T-Shirts

The Fall Festival t-shirt pre-order closed on October 13th. T-shirts will be delivered to your youngest child’s teacher or advisor the week of Fall Festival or in the front office.

Thank you to all the kids in grades K-4th that participated in this years t-shirt design contest. A big congratulations to Catherine B. in 3rd grade for the winning design featuring our favorite mascot, Pawl!
