What can a middle school student learn from an American hero?
The middle school students had an extraordinary opportunity to meet and hear from two American heroes last Friday.
Our local friend, General Perry Smith, who flew 180 combat missions over Vietnam and Laos, brought Congressional Medal of Honor recipient Col. Donald Ballard to speak with the students.
It is a rare and remarkable thing for our students to have the opportunity to meet and hear first hand from these men. Their story is one of courage, duty, and valor. Their message is one of grace, aspiration, and hope.
