Make a Gift

Since our founding in 1944, Episcopal Day School has been significantly strengthened by philanthropic support from its alumni, parents, and friends. This support allows the school to confidently plan for the future while providing current students with a unique, challenging, and enriching experience. With your help, EDS can continue to inspire and influence today’s students and generations to come.

There are a number of ways to give, please see below for additional information.

Where to Give

annual fund

The EDS Annual Fund is essential to our school’s success and the success of our students. At its most basic level, it provides additional financial resources to supplement, support and ignite key initiatives throughout the school. However, we’re changing it up a little bit this year. We are excited to announce that this year’s Annual Fund revenue is earmarked to directly support our faculty!

Educational excellence begins with our faculty. To attract and retain the best teaching talent for our students and school community, we must offer competitive salaries and benefits and support their commitment to innovation and professional growth. Our teachers are the people most essential to the success and progress of children each and every day. Shouldn’t we do everything within our power to support their efforts? Yes – but how?

Make your gift today!

Why should we give?
Your gift is a vote of confidence in our school. The Annual Fund is essential to the operation and strength of EDS, and your participation directly affects our ability to solicit and secure gifts from grants and foundations.

How much should we give?
Giving levels are personal decisions for each family – but rest assured your gift to EDS is an investment with enormous returns for our students and faculty!

  • Gifts of $5,000 and above designate donors as part of the Head of School’s Circle

  • Gifts of $1,000 and above are considered leadership gifts and designate donors as part of the 1944 Society

  • EVERY gift makes a difference, and we hope you will make the EDS Annual Fund a philanthropic priority

Great schools have great libraries. Great libraries foster a love of reading. That love stems from the sense of wonder, possibility, and adventure a good book generates. The newly imagined space seeks to capture that same sense of wonder and possibility – drawing students of all ages in, encouraging them to explore the possibilities, and bringing a sense of joy to the experience.

To that end, we have reimagined the space, the programming, and the impact of the Morris Library on our community. We invite ALL EDS families to be part of this great REIMAGINATION!

Episcopal Day School has 19 established endowments that support a wide variety of programs and specific needs within our school community. Gifts can be made to support a specific existing endowment, or donors may choose to establish a new, separately tracked endowment to support a specific program or need. The threshold for establishing a new, named endowment is $25,000. For more information on endowment gifts or identifying an area to support, please contact Ginger Chew, Director of Development.

In 2008, Georgia’s elected officials had the remarkable vision to pass the Education Expense Credit law to allow Georgia families access to better educational opportunities for their children. Episcopal Day School families and supporters have participated in the Georgia GOAL Scholarship Program since its inception, providing financial assistance to families who continue to enrich our student population.

Family and friends of our EDS students are invited to celebrate their birthdays by gifting a book to the EDS Library Fund through Birthday Book Club. The library has a curated selection of award-winning books from which to choose for $20. A bookplate with your child’s name will be mounted in their honor to forever commemorate your contribution and your student’s special day. Gifts to the EDS Library Fund help the school continually update and develop its permanent collection of literature, reference books, materials, and technology.

Gifts in honor or in memory of an individual may be made to any of the EDS endowments or the EDS Annual Fund. When a tribute gift is made, the honoree or their family is notified (no amount is given to the honoree).

a place to grow banner

In early 2022, EDS announced the completion of its $7.8 million capital campaign, A Place to Grow, which funded the construction of our Flowing Wells Campus including athletic facilities and Nature Preschool.

However, our work is not quite finished! Additional philanthropic support is needed for “finishing touches” including stadium lights for Morris Field and permanent restrooms and concessions for the baseball field.
