La Posada Nativity Visits Preschool and Lower School Classrooms

This year once again we will continue with our Posada tradition. It is the re-enactment of Mary and Joseph’s journey to Bethlehem.  Our Posada, a child-friendly nativity, will be making its ten day journey through Lower School classrooms. Each class receives the Posada/Nativity Set starting with PK1 after Pastor Lisa blessed it in Chapel last Tuesday and Wednesday. Every day, two students are chosen to take the set to the next class and then the teacher and students will read the liturgy which talks about the journey that Mary and Joseph went through to get to Bethlehem to have Baby Jesus.  After the nativity visits the 4th Grade classrooms, it will go back to Sra. Puerta-Quinn’s room for 5th and 6th Grades to enjoy for the remainder of the holiday season.
