New After School Activity – Student Led Clubs

Parents, has your child come home talking about the new Book Club, Animal Club, or Cartoonist Club? If so, it’s because some entrepreneurial students in the EDS After School program have decided to start their own clubs, held from 4-4:30, during After School. These student-led clubs cover a variety of topics and students are learning valuable leadership skills. While not as structured as an enrichment, I believed it was important to let the students run with their ideas, and am excited to build these clubs into our program as best I can. In the meantime, if your student would like to start a club, or join a club, but you are not sure how that will fit into your afternoon schedule, please reach out and let me know. This is a brand new program, and I am excited to try it out and see what we can make it! I’m really enjoying their spirit, leadership, and ingenuity.
