A Tradition Unlike Any Other Here At EDS
The Fourth Grade States Fair has been a traditional EDS event since the early 1990s. Beginning in January students draw for a state and begin the process of researching important information. This project is based on the fourth grade social studies textbook. This U.S. state study is across the curriculum covering not only social studies, but also, math, science, art, music, library, technology, reading, writing, and personal creativity. Once the fair is over the students share their backboard displays and speeches with the rest of their classmates. In this manner the knowledge that has been gained by one is shared with all.
