2015 DiscoverE

In honor of 2015 DiscoverE (formally named The National Engineers Week), the EDS middle school Science classes and STEM Explorations Club participated in the SRS (Savannah River Site) 2015 Engineers Teach-IN during the week of March 9-13th.  SRS Engineers, Sterling Robertson ( parent of EDS alums, Morgan and Trey), a materials engineer and John Stafford, a chemical engineer worked with classes to give students a broader understanding of science,technology, engineering, and math and technical education and their importance as related to real world experiences and careers.  In addition to their valuable presentation, students were lead in a Tower Challenge to illustrate the ways engineers apply knowledge and practices in the everyday world.  A STEMtastic time was had by all!
