IMG_0861

The week of October 26th, the 7th grade teaching team took student learning into the community with an interdisciplinary unit entitled, Augusta, Past and Present. Students were introduced to the history and cultural and community development along our Savannah River area. Students visited and photographed a variety of historical sites in the CSRA, learned about the engineering and industrial uses of the Augusta Canal, and spent a day paddling the canal to investigate its natural surroundings. Their culminating project was the task of using their laptops to create trailers and travelogue movies pulling the themes of the unit together.

The 7th graders also created iMovie trailers a part of their project. View them here!
