A Scientific Tradition in the Sixth Grade

Sixth graders concluded their study of mammalian eyes by dissecting cow eyes. They were amazed by how huge the eyes looked before they cut away all the fat and muscle. Some said they wished human eyes had a tapetum to help them see in the dark.
