Annual Fund Making School History
For the second year in a row, and the second time in EDS history, one grade reached 100% participation in the EDS Annual Fund Campaign. Today, to acknowledge their parents’ generosity, the 7th graders kicked off exam week with a Chick-fil-A lunch and ice cream sundae bar.
“I hope two years in a row of 100% participation in a grade means parents are more aware of the EDS Annual Fund and what it means for our school,” said Jonathan Adams, this year’s campaign chairman. “All of the money we raise goes directly into our school and supports everything we do at EDS. We had fantastic grade-level chairmen who really tried to reach out to all families and explain to them the importance of supporting the annual fund.”
Overall parent participation is also on an upward trend, with 84% of EDS parents making a gift to this year’s campaign. Additionally, membership in the 1944 Society (leadership gifts of $1,000 or more) continues to grow, with a record 73 members this year.
