Bottle Rocket Project on Flowing Wells Campus

Eighth graders finished a nine-week study of Newton’s laws of motion with the engineering challenge of creating a water rocket with a self-deploying parachute.  The open fields at the Flowing Wells Campus were the perfect spot for a morning of launches.  Students made measurements of how the amount of water in the rocket affected its maximum height and recorded the results in their final lab report.
