Celebrating Episcopal Schools Week
Every year, the whole school worships together for Episcopal School Week, a time set apart to celebrate EDS and Episcopal Schools across the country and around the world. First through eighth grade students reflect and write about the year’s theme (this year, “The truth will set you free”) and about what Episcopal Day School means to them, then one student from each grade level is selected to read their reflections in chapel. “God’s promises make me feel safe,” said 1st grader Lillian H. “EDS has taught me how to be a better person and friend,” wrote 4th grader Darius J. “EDS is a privilege and a blessing,” according to 8th grader Sam M. “because everyone cares for our growth and knowledge here at this school.” The rain couldn’t dampen our spirits this year, as we lifted our voices in songs of praise and prayers of thanksgiving, so grateful to God for our school.
