Conflict & Compromise: Congratulations to Our Talented 8th Grade Students

The 8th Grade wrote papers that were submitted to the Regional History Day competition at Augusta University. The essays had to be 1,500 to 2,500 words on the theme “Conflict and Compromise.” The following students earned places; first place, Elizabeth C., for her paper on the Tanganyika laughing epidemic, first place (tie) Claiborne P., for her paper on desegregation and private school enrollment and third Place,  Ann Maxwell H., for her paper on Malala Yousafzai. These students will compete in the state tournament at Mercer University.
