Panther Nation: Tournament Time!

_JLC1997Are you ready for some tournament madness?! That’s right — it’s tournament time in the CSRA! This week the varsity basketball teams and the swim team will compete in season ending championships. The EDS Panthers are in a frenzy and are ready to feast. Grrrr!!

Our cats love the water and are preparing for the end of season championship in Atlanta on Saturday, February 1.

The boys and girls varsity basketball teams are playing in the Greater Augusta/Aiken Private Middle School Athletic League tournament this week at Augusta Prep. The detailed tournament schedule will be posted later this week; however, below are the dates for this event:

Quarterfinals – Thursday, Jan 30

Semifinals and championship games – Saturday, Feb. 1

To recap our season: both the boys and girls teams are near the top of their division. The varsity girls are 6 – 2 and in third place. The varsity boys are 7 – 1 and in second place. The jv girls basketball team is currently undefeated and look to close out the season in perfect fashion. The jv boys basketball team is currently 4 – 3 and looking to finish strong in their final two games.
