The Panthers are on the Prowl this Spring!
This is Championship Week for the Aiken-Augusta Middle School League and the EDS Panthers are in the hunt for three titles. The baseball team is the fourth seed and takes on the Wildcats of Westminster tonight at 6:00 p.m. at Eisenhower Park. Both the boys and girls soccer teams finished their seasons undefeated and are the top seeds for their playoff games this afternoon. The girls face the Saints of St. Mary’s Aiken at 4:00 p.m. and the boys play the Augusta Prep Cavaliers at 5:30 p.m., at the Augusta Soccer Park. Come out and cheer on our Panthers!
The baseball championship game is Thursday, April 30, at 4:00 p.m. at Eisenhower Park. Soccer championship games are at Westminster on Friday, May 1, the girls play at 6:00 p.m. and the boys at 7:30 p.m. GO PANTHERS!
Congratulations to the boys and girls track teams on a strong finish at the league championship meet last Thursday. The boys took second place overall and the girls placed third. Nicole A. was the overall individual champion for the girls for the second year in a row, winning the long jump, 100m hurdles, 4×100 relay (with El F., McNeil F., and Camille L.), 4×400 relay (with Mary Ellen J., El F., and McNeil F.), and 400m. Thomas D. was first in the boys 300m hurdles, and El F. won the girls 200m sprint. The boys 4 x 400 relay team also ended the day with a first place finish for Ezra B., Thomas L., Copper M., and Thomas D.
