Winter Athletics Wrap Up

We had an exciting weekend in Panther Nation. Both the boys and girls basketball teams marched through the tournament brackets to the championship games.

The girls beat Augusta Prep in the quarterfinals, then beat St. Mary’s on the Hill in the semifinals. In the championship game versus Curtis Baptist, the Lady Panthers battled fiercely against the Crusaders.  The game went into an exciting overtime where the Crusaders eventually won.  The girls ended the the season with only two loses in league play and finishing in second place.

The boys beat Hillcrest in the quarterfinal round and defeated the Augusta Prep Cavaliers in the semifinals. In the championship game, the Panthers took apart Westminster. The boys went undefeated in league play on the road to the championship.

Speaking of gorging themselves on the competition, our Panthers loved the water as well.  The swim team won one meet and finished fourth at another.  Many swimmers also did very well individually.

Thanks to the entire Panther Nation for the continued support.
