August Feste and the Blessing of the Backpacks
The Church of the Good Shepherd is hosting its annual “Blessing of the Backpacks, Students, Educators, and School Supplies” on Sunday, August 9, at 10 a.m. After church festivities include and introduction to the year’s Sunday school programs, live bluegrass music provided by Doug & The Henrys, games for all ages, face painting, a bake sale, and more!
The August Fest also includes the Annual Kanuga-Cue with BBQ Chicken, Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Potato Salad, and Cole Slaw. Tickets are on sale in the churchyard on Sunday mornings and the office M-F.
