Immunization Changes for 7th Graders

Georgia’s immunization requirements for children attending 7th grade have been revised to align with the current recommendations of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, the American Acadeny of Pediatrics, and the American Academy of Family Physicians. Beginning with the 2014 – 2015 school year, 7th graders will be required to have one dose of Tdap and one dose Meningococcal conjugate vaccines prior to entering school. The health department will audit 7th grade student files this upcoming year.
