Heritage Academy Outreach Project for Preschool, Kindergarten, and First Grade Students

The preschool, kindergarten and first grade classes have the opportunity to participate in an outreach project to help students at Augusta’s Heritage Academy.  Heritage Academy is an inner city school located in Olde Town and is a non-profit, K – 8, faith-based school funded primarily by donations.

Students may participate by bringing in any of the following suggested items:
Ticonderoga #2 pencils, pens, erasers/cap erasers, Crayola markers, skinny Expo dry erase markers, 16 or 24 ct. boxes of crayons, highlighters, notebook paper, spiral notebooks, glue sticks, children’s scissors, copy paper, card stock, file folders, file tabs, Sharpies, legal pads, clipboards, page protectors, etc.
Please send any items you wish to donate with your child to his/her classroom by Friday, December 16.  This will provide a great opportunity to discuss the gift of giving to others in need.
If you have any questions, please contact your child’s teacher, Jane Barton, or Karen Dye. We thank Alicia Haltermann and Lynda Smith for spearheading this project.
Thank you in advance for your help,
Jane Barton and Karen Dye
