The Threes loved experiencing the world of butterflies this week. We learned so much about the life cycle of the butterfly. Mrs. Welsh ordered caterpillars that we will be able to watch in our classrooms as they go through their metamorphosis. We will then release the butterflies in the Village garden. The Threes created colorful artwork to go along with the theme. Today, we celebrated the end of our unit by having a butterfly picnic in the Village garden. Each student made their own flower sandwich and pretended to be butterflies as they drank “flower nectar” out of straws. We sang songs and played Butterfly, Butterfly, Bee.
