PK Sings Without Making a Sound

Over the past nine years, Karen Prince (current EDS parent) has taught our PK students sign language.

It began with the children learning how to sign the numbers 1-20 and all the colors, but it has progressed to them learning so much more!

Now each PK class learns how to sign the alphabet, their names, the days of the week, the months of the year, names of animals, and short phrases. They’ve also been working very hard throughout the year learning to sign songs.

This year for Grandparents/Friends Day, they will perform “What A Wonderful World,” by Louis Armstrong, and “I Can Only Imagine,” by Mercy Me – entirely in sign language! The PK classes have had a great time learning these songs, and it promises to be an unforgettable performance. Stay tuned for the video…
