It’s Baptism Season at Good Shepherd!

During this Easter season it has been our honor and delight to baptize babies from two EDS faculty families at Good Shepherd on Sunday mornings. On April 30th, Albert Hawes Dallas IV was “marked as Christ’s own forever” on his big sister Bennett’s birthday! Hawes made mom and dad, Lauren and Al Dallas, very proud as he entertained the choir from his place in the pew and gazed with awe at his baptismal candle. The next week, May 7, Daniel Benton Mize, Grandson of Nurse Debra Glover, was “received into the household of God.” Benton wore the same beautiful baptismal gown as his big brother Walton had recently worn and, to the relief of mom and dad, Laney and Andrew Mize, he awoke from his nap just in time for Father Fain to pour the water. It is always a blessing to share in the Sacrament of Holy Baptism, and we willl do our very best to “support these persons in their new life in Christ.”
