2023 Summer @ EDS
Summer @ EDS 2023 registration is now open! We are very excited about the fantastic opportunities we have available to campers in the CSRA this summer. Day Camp at EDS is a 7-week summer camp for children 3-12 years of age. Every day, students will participate in games, arts and crafts, outdoor play, special activities based on the week’s theme, and additional rotations of activities.
Summer @ EDS Day Camp runs from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with half-day until 1:00 p.m., extended day until 5:00 p.m., and early care opening at 8:00 a.m. To qualify for our 3-year-old camp program, campers must be toilet trained and have been in a preschool setting for at least one year.
*Please note, for our Extended Day options to run, we need a minimum of 5 campers enrolled.
All weekly themed camps and Nature Adventure, Football, and Soccer specialty camps are held at the EDS Flowing Wells Campus, located at 1337 Flowing Wells Road, Augusta, GA 30909. Cheerleading, Basketball, and Volleyball specialty camps are held at our Walton Way Campus, located at 2248 Walton Way, Augusta, GA 30904.

2023 Weekly Themes:
- June 5-9: Operation: Celebration!
- Happy New Year (of camp)! This will be a week-long celebration, including an all-camp birthday party.
- June 12-16: Blast from the Past
- Travel through time as we explore games, music, and pop culture from decades of the past
- June 19-23: Messy Masterpieces
- This week will be all about making messes! Enjoy finger painting with mud, creating ooblek, and all kinds of other ooey-gooey fun
- June 26-30: Party in the USA!
- Celebrate all things red, white, and blue in preparation for the upcoming holiday
- July 10-14: Youth: Boxes of Fun!, Preschool: Planes, Trains, & Automobiles
- Preschool: All aboard the day camp express! Our preschool campers will spend the week focused on modes of transportation
- Youth: Boxes, boxes, and more boxes. Youth Campers will spend the week working on cardboard creations – from forts to boats, the options are endless!
- July 17-21: Passport to Fun
- Get your passport ready because this week will travel the globe! Campers will get a taste of music, sports, and games from all around the world
- July 24-28: Splashtopia
- Beat the summer heat with this wet and wild week! We will stay cool by including water in all of our daily activities

Pricing:
Early Bird Pricing – Before March 31:
Full Day until 3:30: $185/week
Half Day until 1:00: $145/week
Pricing After April 1:
Full Day until 3:30: $205/week
Half Day until 1:00: $165/week
Early Birds (8:00-9:00 a.m): $25/week
*Early Birds requires a minimum of 5 campers to run each week. If you register for early birds, we will let you know within 2 weeks of camp starting if we have reached our minimum to run for that week.
Extended Day (until 5:00 p.m.): $50/week
*Extended day requires a minimum of 5 campers to run each week. If you register for extended day, we will let you know within 2 weeks of camp starting if we have reached our minimum to run for that week
Refunds (Summer @ EDS Day Camp only)
- $25 cancellation fee 2 weeks prior to camp starting
- 50% refund within 2 weeks of camp starting
- Option to transfer to an alternative week of camp
Specialty Camps @ EDS
In addition to Summer @ EDS Day Camp, we also offer specialty camps, open to all students in the CSRA, where skills can be honed in one specific area. Specialty camps get added all the time to our roster so please check our website, the EDS Panther Post newsletter, and social media posts for more information. Please note that some specialty camps have an option to add afternoon care from 12 or 1-3:30 p.m.
Specialty Camps held on the Walton Way Campus will have an option for campers to be transported to our Flowing Wells Campus for the remainder of the Day Camp day. 3:30 p.m. pickup is only available at our Flowing Wells campus.

May 30 – June 2: Nature Adventure
- Rising PK – 2nd Grade
- Tuesday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. (No camp on May 29)
- Instructors: Nature School Staff
- Location: Flowing Wells Campus
- Spend a week out in the Flowing Wells woods exploring alongside our Nature School Staff. Water shoes, long pants, and clothes that can get muddy are required.
June 12-16: Volleyball
- Rising 3rd – 8th Grade
- Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
- Instructor: Coach Candice Carlson
- Location: Walton Way Campus
- EDS Coach Candice Carlson will teach athletes entering grades 3 – 8 who have an interest in learning to play volleyball and/or improve their volleyball skills. Including serving, hitting, passing, and defensive/offensive gameplay and strategies. All skill levels are welcome.
June 19-23: Soccer
- Rising 1st-8th Grade
- Monday – Friday, 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
- Instructor: Coach Owens
- Location: Flowing Wells Campus
- Coach Owens is excited to teach and engage in lessons and activities that build soccer and athletic skills in campers while having tons of fun! Join us on Friday, June 23, to showcase all the soccer skills we learned!
June 26-30: Football
- Rising 1st – 8th Grade
- Monday – Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
- Location: Flowing Wells Campus
- Join us for a week of football skills and drills! This camp will assist campers in the proper techniques of different positions played in football and basic plays used. We will also help reinforce the rules and discipline it takes to be a successful athlete. All skill levels are welcome.
July 10-14: Cheerleading
- Rising Kindergarten – 5th Grade
- Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
- Location: Walton Way Campus
- Learn the cheers used by the EDS cheer team and practice a routine to show off your new skills. Parents will be invited to join us for a performance on Friday. All skill levels are welcome. Participants will also be invited to cheer at an EDS football game this fall!
July 17-21: Basketball
- Rising 1st – 8th Grade
- Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
- Location: Walton Way Campus
- This camp will work on the basic techniques of shooting, dribbling, passing, rebounding, and defense. Parents will be invited to a skills showcase at the end of the week. All skills levels are welcome.

Leader in Training (LiT) @ EDS
Have your teenager apply for our Leader in Training program and learn valuable leadership skills this summer. This volunteer position is for teenagers, 13-16. Through the LiT Program our young leaders will get CPR/First Aid Certified, gain leadership experience, work hands-on with younger children, and be responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of activities for the camp. LiTs must commit to at least 2 weeks of camp, and priority will be given to those who can work for the entire summer.
